TOKYOPOP Tour: America's Greatest Otaku!

Hey everyone, this summer, TOKYOPOP is embarking on a nationwide bus tour to find America’s Greatest Otaku! The winner gets a FREE TRIP to Tokyo, and it’s also being made into an internet reality show/documentary. If you think you have what it takes, you can find out more by clicking here!

Details: An afternoon of anime featuring:
  • Anime Viewings (TBA)
  • Costume Contest
  • DoDonPachi I Credit Score Attack Bonanza Tournament
  • Parents Introduction to Anime Discussion (for parents that are new to anime)
Addtionally, there will a donation box to collect new and gently used manga donations for Operation Anime Storm. It is a charity organization that collects manga and anime for troops deployed & stationed overseas. A detailed events schedule should be available on the host's website approximately some time near the event date.

got a msg from the peeps at gaijin usa asking me to spread the word about this.

"Just updating to let you guys know that Star boxes are being sold by Dumpster Wear at Dragoncon

Star Girls will be giving out flyers. Other dealers will be helping to promote it too.

on another note, gaijin usa wwill be hosting the anime portion of Imagicon in May, it'll be in birmingham. they are working on plans to have a saterday parade, and would like alot of people to particpate in it.

Just watched Evangelion 1.0

I just watched Eva in LA! It was awesome that I could see it on a big screen!!
Actually, I expected the movie was dubbed, but it was with English subtitle.
It was a good surprise for me cuz I love Eva's original voice cast :)
I don't know if it's gonna be dubbed or subtitled in other cities, though.

Also, the movie was followed by the trailer of the next one like the TV series!
You know what? I saw the new character in there! It must be Mari!!
You shouldn't miss the trailer! OMG! I can't wait to see the 2nd one!
I may go to theater again to check the trailer.
